Correction clarifies figure presentation of Cajal-Retzius neurons in human hippocampal fissure development, addressing concerns.
G. Meyer, E. González-Arnay, U. Moll, A. Nemajerova, F. Tissir and M. González-Gómez, “ Cajal-Retzius neurons are required for the development of the human hippocampal fissure,” Journal of Anatomy 235, no. 3 (2019): 569-589, https://doi.org/10.1111/joa.12947. In the initial version of this article, the letters of the figures were placed in the lower left corner. In the final submitted version, the letters were removed and placed in the upper left corner using Photoshop Elements. This was successful in all panels except in subpanel Fig. 1E, where we inadvertently used the wrong Photoshop tool to remove the “E.” This led to a minor duplication of a few pixels in the former place of the letter. This error does not affect the scientific message of this figure or the paper but seems to have raised concern. We reconstructed Figure 1 from the original microscopic images where there is no duplication in the lower left corner of Figure 1E. We apologize for this error.
