In this article, we report the case of a patient with isolated superior mesenteric artery dissection (ISMAD). The patient presented with abdominal pain, but all the routine tests were negative. ISMAD was diagnosed by computed tomography angiography. She was treated conservatively. After 2 days of fasting, the patient gradually started to eat liquid food and the abdominal pain symptoms did not recur. We then followed her for 6 months, during which there was no recurrence.
