Demonstrates enhanced magnetic properties in iron oxide-modified carbon nanotube nanocomposites, suggesting potential applications in various fields.
Nanotechnology-driven hybrid nanocomposites combine nanoscale components. In this study, Fe2O3 nanoparticles were functionalized with MWCNTs to form a stable hybrid system’s showed hydrodynamic diameters of 135.4 ± 1.2 nm (Fe2O3), 110.3 ± 1.5 nm (MWCNTs), and 205.4 ± 1.3 nm for the composite. Magnetic analysis revealed soft magnetic behavior with saturation magnetization of 14.5 emu/g (Fe2O3) and 14.0–14.3 emu/g (composite). FTIR, XRD, FESEM, and AFM confirmed structure and morphology, with Ra = 29.5 ± 2.1 nm. Rheology showed shear-thinning, viscosity decreasing from 1.52 ± 0.10 to 0.58 ± 0.04 Pa·s, indicating improved flow and reduced entanglement.
