Proposes a model using labeled spiking neural P systems to generate chain code picture languages, suggesting a new approach.
Chain code pictures are composed of unit lines drawn according to sequences of directional instructions, typically encoded as words over the alphabet [Formula: see text] representing left, right, up, and down movements. The use of P systems employing parallel and sequential rewriting rules to generate such chain code languages has been explored earlier [Subramanian et al. 2012, Ceterchi et al. 2015]. In this work, we propose a model based on Labeled Spiking Neural P Systems with Mute Rules, leveraging the simplicity of their rule structure to generate specific classes of chain code picture languages.
