The purpose of the study is to develop and experimentally substantiate the structure of training sessions for improving in‑game performance in phygital sports (using the discipline of the rhythm simulator “Just Dance” as an example), as well as to identify the relationship between physical exercises assessing the level of physical fitness of athletes and in‑game performance in the video game “Just Dance”. Research methods and organization. Analysis and generalization of scientific and methodological literature data, pedagogical experiment, testing, and mathematical statistics methods were used. The study involved athletes from the Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University “Black Bears” and the Baltic State Technical University «VOENMEH» named after D.F. Ustinov, aged 18 to 21 years. A methodology aimed at improving in‑game performance in the video game “Just Dance” and at developing physical abilities was implemented into the training process of the experimental group of athletes. Research results and conclusions. In the experimental group, a statistically significant improvement in in‑game performance was revealed in the video game “Just Dance” on all tracks of increased difficulty. An improvement was observed in all exercises aimed at assessing the general physical fitness of the athletes. Correlations were established between in‑game results and the level of physical fitness of the athletes. The obtained results confirm the effectiveness of the developed methodology and its practical significance for training teams in phygital sports in the discipline of the rhythm simulator “Just Dance”.
