Focus group study evaluates digital installations in archaeology museums, suggesting future implementation improvements.
The data shows the results of a Focus Group Study about digital Installations in two archaeology museums in Munich. The participants went to the Archäologischen Staatssammlung München and the Staatliches Museum Ägyptischer Kunst in München. After the visits they filled out two questionnaires assessing thier opinion on the use of digital methods in the exhibitions. Subsequently, some of the participants joined a discussion that focused on additional insight extending beyond the previously collected data. The evaluation centers on overarching attitudes toward the digitalization of museums and artifacts, reflections on future developments, and the requirements for a meaningful implementation of digital methods.
