Shows an integrated platform enhances chemometric analysis, indicating improved usability for EEM spectroscopy.
Fluorescence excitation-emission matrix (EEM) spectroscopy is widely used to characterize dissolved organic matter and other fluorescent substances. However, downstream post-processing often still requires commercial software or scripting. SmartEEM is an integrated, code-free platform for post-processing preprocessed EEMs, combining batch fluorescence descriptors, exploratory multivariate analyses, parallel factor analysis (PARAFAC), machine-learning-ready export, and an optional AI copilot for context-aware interpretation. Validation using three reference datasets showed that SmartEEM reproduced expected PARAFAC solutions. For the OMP wastewater benchmark, it agreed closely with the published drEEM model (mean Tucker congruence coefficient of 0.96).
