Assesses diagnostic findings and surgical intervention for scalp lesions, indicating effective treatment options.
A 42-year-old woman presented with a slowly enlarging, asymptomatic pink nodular lesion on the scalp. Physical examination revealed a solitary, well-circumscribed, firm, dome-shaped pink nodule measuring approximately 8 mm in diameter. Dermoscopic examination showed arborizing vessels over a pink background. Based on the clinical and dermoscopic findings, basal cell carcinoma was considered. Complete surgical excision was performed.
