Randomized trial measures performance of Türkiye container ports, suggesting improved evaluations through combined methods.
The aim of this study was to measure the performance of Türkiye container ports using data envelopment analysis (DEA) and multi-criteria decision making (MCDM). For this purpose, 21 container ports were selected, and efficiency analyses were carried out using the Constant Returns to Scale (CRS)-DEA model and the Variable Returns to Scale (VRS)-DEA model. The research involved the use of the super-efficiency CRS-DEA model, super-efficiency VRS-DEA model, TOPSIS, CODAS, and EDAS methods to rank the most efficient decision-making units. The results reveal that combining DEA and MCDM methods in container port efficiency measurement allows for a more comprehensive ranking of efficient decision-making units.
