Examines the effect of tillage and fertilizer on soil chemistry and microbial communities, suggesting fertilization strategies can optimize bacterial diversity.
ABSTRACTThis study was conducted to determine the effect of tillage and fertilizer type on soilchemical composition and bacterial communities. A comparison was made betweenconventional tillage (CT) and three types of minimum tillage (MT). The effects of thetreatments were primarily observed in phosphorus (P) dynamics, while other mineral elementsremained relatively stable due to differences in nutrient availability mechanisms. The resultsshowed similarities between different treatments, particularly between minimum tillage (MT)with the same mineral (M) input, as well as between organic (O) inputs, while CT withmineral input appeared to be the most distinctive treatment. Observations indicate that tillagehas an effect on the composition of microbial communities, although this effect remainsrelatively modest for the main bacterial phyla.
