This study was conducted to investigate innovative approaches to the training of specialists in the field of art design in higher education institutions in China. The research methodology included a survey among students and teachers of higher art institutions in China. The main results showed that the Chinese art industry has significant differences from the European art space, which, in turn, has a significant impact on the educational process of art institutions in China. In general, Chinese education is distinguished by a combination of traditional and innovative methods aimed at developing creative and professional skills. The main methods that are actively used in the Chinese art design education system include project-based learning, interdisciplinary courses, internships, and involving students in creative laboratories. These methods promote the development of both technical and creative skills of students, allowing them to work on real projects and collaborate with professionals from other disciplines. The use of the latest digital technologies, particularly three-dimensional (3D) modeling, animation, and virtual reality (VR) software, provides students with the opportunity to master the modern tools required for a successful career in design. Practical work on real-world projects through coursework and internships allows students to not only gain practical experience but also to make professional connections. Collaboration with companies and other industrial partners helps students to develop creativity and teamwork skills, as well as to adapt their knowledge to the requirements of the twenty-first century market.
