Develops a digital management model to enhance ESG practices and efficiency in oil and gas enterprises under carbon regulations.
The paper investigates theoretical and applied aspects of forming the architecture of an integrated technological platform for business process management of oil and gas sector enterprises under tightening carbon regulation and increasing volatility of global energy markets. Modern digital solutions applied in the oil and gas business are systematized, and their contribution to the implementation of ESG principles is assessed. The transition from the isolated use of disparate digital tools to a unified platform architecture providing end-to-end integration of transportation planning, telemetric monitoring, electronic document management, client services, and ESG accounting is substantiated. The architecture of the technological platform is developed, reflecting the interrelation of its functional modules, and mechanisms for automated calculation of the carbon footprint of transportation based on primary telemetric data are defined. It is shown that the proposed architectural solution creates prerequisites for reducing transaction costs for preparing verified climate reporting, increasing operational efficiency, and monetizing emission reductions through national carbon market mechanisms. The article analyzes the involvement of domestic businesses in the climate agenda and the impact of carbon regulation on the performance of enterprises in the oil and gas sector. The article also systematizes innovative solutions for implementing ESG principles in the oil and gas sector.
