Questionnaire research reveals teachers and students value field education in geography, indicating its importance.
Field education in geography plays a notable role in a comprehensive understanding of the world around us. It offers students the opportunity to engage with the physical and social landscape on site. This article presents the results of a questionnaire research conducted among geography teachers and university students (future teachers) in Czechia, Slovenia and Serbia, shedding light on their attitudes towards field education. A part of the study consisted of a survey, aiming to gauge perspectives on the importance of field education and its current implementation. One of the initial ideas of the study was to investigate if the results were going to show statistically significant differences among the responses of the participants. The research revealed that both teachers and students recognize the inherent value of field education, highlighting its role in enhancing practical knowledge, spatial awareness, and critical thinking skills.
