This research identifies factors influencing innovative development in forestry enterprises, suggesting implications for improvement.
In the current crisis and sanction-related conditions, the level of innovative development as a whole is influenced by various internal and external factors, including exchange rate fluctuations, the unavailability of many imported production equipment models, and a high key refinancing rate. All of this has a significant impact on the activities of forestry enterprises as a whole, as well as on the level of innovative development sufficiency. This article summarizes the factors and processes under study that influence the level of innovative development of forestry enterprises, identifying three main groups. Based on these groups, key conditions and factors influencing the innovative development of the forestry complex are identified. Based on the research results, the author's system for assessing the influence of factors on the level of innovative development sufficiency of forestry enterprises is proposed. Each grouping of innovative development factors was assessed taking into account industry significance, the impact on forestry enterprises, and the significance of the influencing factor. During the 2026 study, this system was supplemented with a digital group of factors, as it did not take into account such innovative development factors as the use of digital technologies and the level of digitalization in the forestry complex, as well as the use of advanced production technologies in activities.
