Demonstrates a new copper-catalyzed approach for synthesizing phosphinamides from hydroxylamines, suggesting efficient functionalization methods.
Herein, we report a base‐free, Cu‐catalyzed redox‐neutral dehydrative cross‐coupling reaction between phosphine oxides and hydroxylamines. This reaction provides a new access to valuable phosphinamides, featuring oxidant‐free conditions, high atom economy, and good functional group tolerance. Furthermore, late‐stage functionalization of a diverse array of hydroxylamine‐bearing natural products and drug molecules was successfully realized, providing a practical approach to the synthesis of phosphinic amides.
