The study was a descriptive one; data was collected from 152 respondents randomly selected in the area by the researcher, data was analyzed with simple analytical tools, and ANOVA tool. The findings indicate that; crop rotation allows for conservative use of farmlands, and increases the yield of farmers in the area under study, increase in yields means availability of more food, secondly, integrated pest management is another practice that has a positive significant impact on food security and poverty reduction, the practice reduce cost for local farmers, and help boost yields for them, boosting food security and reducing poverty. The researcher recommends that, local farmers should practice crop rotation more, making use of so many lands to continue having a bountiful harvest which impacts positively on food security and poverty reduction, and government should promote integrated pest control more amongst farmers in our country, and it has a lot of benefits now and in the future
