This study aims to compare the accuracy of echocardiography and radionuclide angiography in measuring left ventricular size and performance.
Participants underwent both echocardiography and radionuclide angiography.
Measurements of left ventricular size and performance were taken and compared.
A statistical analysis assessed the accuracy of both imaging techniques.
Echocardiography showed a greater accuracy in estimating left ventricular size, with a correlation coefficient of 0.85 (p<0.01).
Gated equilibrium radionuclide angiography demonstrated a significant relationship with heart performance metrics, with an odds ratio of 1.8 (95% CI 1.2-2.4, p<0.05).
