Demonstrates selective phosphorylation of glycosides, implying a new method for glycan modification.
Regioselective phosphorylation of polyhydroxyglycosides remains a long-standing challenge in carbohydrate chemistry. Herein, we report a mild and efficient Fe(acac) 3 -catalyzed strategy for the selective phosphorylation of free vicinal diols in glycosides. The protocol exhibits a broad substrate scope and excellent functional group tolerance, delivering site-selectively phosphorylated glycosides in moderate to good yields. This work offers a streamlined catalytic approach to phosphorylated carbohydrate derivatives, providing a valuable tool for glycan functionalization in chemical biology and drug discovery.
