Case report demonstrates prenatal diagnosis of fetal inguinal scrotal hernia, indicating enhanced diagnostic techniques.
Fetal inguinal scrotal hernia (FISH) is a rare congenital anomaly easily confused with other scrotal masses, making prenatal diagnosis difficult. This paper reports a case with initial abnormal findings at 37 + 1 weeks' gestation; subtle bowel peristalsis was later identified to make a suspected prenatal diagnosis of FISH. The neonate was delivered by cesarean section with a non‐strangulated hernia, and elective repair after 1 year of age was recommended. This study summarizes its sonographic features and key identification clues to improve prenatal diagnostic accuracy.
