Case report demonstrates novel graft technique for correcting nasal tip deformities after cyst excision, suggesting effective aesthetic improvement.
Secondary deformities of the nose can result from many causes such as trauma, burn, and previous surgical procedures. Nasal deformities can also occur due to large sebaceous cysts themselves (primary nasal deformity) or after their excision (secondary nasal deformities). They can distort the contour, resulting in an unesthetic appearance of the nose. In the management of such deformities, preserving or enhancing the esthetics of the nose can be challenging. Some methods have been described for managing contour deformities of the nose in the literature such as fat grafting, dermal grafts, cartilage grafts, fillers, and silicone grafts. In this case report, a novel approach of dermal-perifascial areolar tissue graft has been described for managing deformity produced in the nasal tip area following excision of a large sebaceous cyst.
