Numerous cardiovascular pathologies, including thoracic endovascular aortic repair (TEVAR), may require supra-aortic bypass (SB) reconstruction. This study reports the safety and efficacy of SB reconstructions using ring-reinforced 8 mm PTFE. From 4/2017 to 6/2023, 17 patients (9 female, median age 72 years) underwent creation of 23 SBs. Indications included TEVAR debranching in 10 patients and symptomatic subclavian artery stenosis or occlusion in 7. No intraoperative complications, bypass revisions, or 30-day mortality occurred. After follow-up of up to 5.9 years, one bypass occlusion was observed; all examined patients were asymptomatic and 19 bypasses (96%) remained patent, demonstrating excellent feasibility, safety, and patency.
