Randomized trial demonstrates the superiority of fast-saturation models in fitting galaxy rotation curves, indicating potential advancements in astrophysical modeling.
This archive contains all supporting fitting datasets, analysis scripts, and numerical outputs to reproduce every statistical result, table and figure presented in the manuscript titled Statistical superiority of a two-parameter fast-saturation model in fitting SPARC galaxy rotation curves: a comparison with \(Λ\)CDM and MOND. The study performs systematic phenomenological comparisons of six two-parameter coherent inflow functions under Fluid Space Theory (FST), alongside standard \(Λ\)CDM cored NFW halo models and fixed-\(a_0\) MOND, using the SPARC sample of 175 disc galaxies. The rational fast-saturation function RAT_S is identified as the statistically optimal candidate via Bayesian Information Criterion (BIC), cross-validation, jackknife leave-one-out tests, bootstrap resampling, stratified subsample analysis and parameter boundary robustness checks. Data & Code Content Overview The compressed package includes eight standardised English-named subfolders storing complete reproducible materials: Two-parameter model baseline fitting outputs for all six FST functional forms (EXP, TANH, ATAN, ERF, RAT_L, RAT_S) Full 175-galaxy refitting results with consistent fitting priors Galaxy-wise BIC, \(χ^2\), parameter posterior and boundary hit statistics for all competing models 1000-sample bootstrap resampling outputs for mean BIC uncertainty quantification Jackknife leave-one-out datasets to calculate stability index and galaxy influence rankings Direct pairwise \(Λ\)CDM vs RAT_S BIC comparison tables Subsample split results for high/low baryonic mass, gas fraction and data quality cuts All plotting scripts, residual analysis outputs and supplementary numerical tables for manuscript figures All raw observational inputs originate from the public SPARC rotation curve catalogue (Lelli et al. 2016). Uniform differential evolution fitting pipelines are applied across all models to eliminate fitting bias. Output files include CSV numerical tables, plain-text log records and runnable analysis scripts compatible with standard astronomical Python libraries. Usage Notes All filenames and internal variable labels adopt English notation without non-Latin characters. The dataset fully reproduces mean BIC values, Wilcoxon test p-values, win rates, condition numbers and subsample \(Δ\)BIC offsets reported in the paper. No external proprietary software is required to parse or recalculate the presented statistics. Associated Manuscript The matching English MNRAS-format paper is uploaded alongside this dataset; all figure placeholders, tables and statistical conclusions rely entirely on the numerical outputs contained within this archive.
