Demonstrates the internal composition of particles impacts interference behavior, suggesting new insights into quantum mechanics.
The single-photon triple-slit experiment (Sinha et al., 2010) confirmed that theSorkin parameter ε — the residue left when three-path interference is reduced to sums oftwo-path interferences — is zero within measurement precision: however many paths areopen, nature's interference closes into pairwise terms. This paper shows that a framework inwhich a particle is a bound triple of three wavons at mutual 120° phase (1, ω, ω², with1+ω+ω²=0) [hypothesis] is consistent with this result. The natural worry — would a particlewith three internal components not generate genuinely third-order interference where threepaths meet — is dissolved by layer separation: the internal structure rides in the internalHilbert space and accompanies every path as one undivided bundle, so the total amplitudefactorizes as (internal factor)×(sum of paths), and the square of the standard Born rule[borrowed] produces cross terms pairwise only, reproducing ε = 0 identically. Thisreproduction is not confirmation — the paper accounts for its zero discriminating powerrather than concealing it. One incidental observation is registered at zero evidential weight:the exact-dark points of the equal-spaced triple slit are where the three path phases arriveprecisely as (1, ω, ω²) — the simplest experimental arrangement in which the framework'sfounding identity is realized spatially on a screen. A shared kill condition is stated: aconfirmed ε ≠ 0 exceeding the computable path corrections kills the quadratic law and, withit, the factorization picture of this framework.
