Project develops a system to convert human footsteps into electrical energy, indicating sustainable solutions for high-footfall areas.
This project presents the design and development of a renewable energy harvesting system that converts mechanical energy generated from human footsteps into electrical energy using piezoelectric sensors. The generated electrical energy is rectified, stored in a rechargeable battery, and converted into AC power using an inverter circuit. An Arduino-based monitoring system measures and displays the generated voltage in real time. The proposed system provides a sustainable, eco-friendly, and low-cost solution for energy harvesting in high-footfall areas such as railway stations, shopping malls, airports, educational institutions, and public walkways.
