This study adopts a bibliometric approach with three-level keyword analysis, which is conducted based on 1033 documents retrieved from Web of Science and Scopus databases. The results show: (1) five keyword co-occurrence clusters, emphasizing different connections between agritourism and themes like participation, governance, and sustainability; (2) four thematic areas including community relations, environmental policy, innovation, and social resilience; and (3) a clear shift in research focus, as traditional terms such as “satisfaction” or “planning” have been replaced by newer concepts like “circular economy,” “resilience,” and “leisure agriculture”. The paper proposes a few research directions, such as the relevance of social capital in green transition, the use of the concept of the circular economy in agritourism. It also highlights the need to examine new forms of governance in remote or vulnerable regions.
