Investigates controller effectiveness in nonlinear systems, suggesting improved resource efficiency.
In this paper, we investigate a zero‐order‐hold (ZOH) triggered gain scheduling controller for a class of nonlinear time‐varying systems, where exogenous signals are employed as scheduling variables. Due to the ZOH mechanism, the proposed controller is updated intermittently, which offers the advantage of reducing communication resources and computational burden. Rigorous stability analysis of the resulting closed‐loop system is carried out using both Lyapunov and Razumikhin theories. As a result, sufficient conditions on the radius of the domain of operation and the ultimate bound of the system states are derived as explicit functions of the interexecution time. The novelty and effectiveness of the proposed approach are clearly demonstrated by various results and comparisons in numerical and practical examples.
