Explores lncRNA's role in myocardial injury in acute myocardial infarction, suggesting new treatment avenues.
1/3 https://e-kcj.orgLong non-coding RNA (lncRNA) is a noncoding RNA with a length of more than 200 nucleotides, and plays a crucial role in various biological processes such as the dosage compensation effect, epigenetic regulation, cell cycle control, and cell differentiation regulation. The expression of lncRNAs are cell-type and tissue-specific, and some of them are expressed only in specific stages of eukaryotic development. In addition, abnormalities in the expression or function of lncRNA are closely associated with the occurrence of human diseases. 1)ute myocardial infarction (AMI) refers to the ischemic necrosis of local myocardium caused by acute occlusion of coronary artery and interruption of blood flow.AMI is a serious disease with a high mortality, and the patients often suffer from persistent retrosternal pain, shock, arrhythmia and heart failure. On the one hand, the mechanisms of cardiomyocyte injury caused by AMI are complex and diverse; on the other hand, the effect of ischemiareperfusion therapy is very time-limited.AMI leads to a large number of myocardial cell death and cardiac dysfunction, and is a leading cause of global cardiovascular morbidity and mortality. 2)Therefore, it is essential to study the pathological mechanisms of cardiomyocyte injury caused by AMI, thereby providing a theoretical foundation for formulating new and effective prevention and treatment strategies for AMI.
