This study investigated the relationship between individuals’ neophilia and neophobia characteristics, local food consumption, memorable food experiences, and behavioral intentions. Data were collected from individuals who had local food experiences in Hatay, Turkey. The findings revealed that individuals’ neophilia and neophobia characteristics had an effect on local food consumption intentions and that local food consumption affected memorable food experiences. It was also found that local food consumption and memorable food experiences significantly affected behavioral intentions.
