Theoretical and methodological aspects of sustainable development of the socio-economic Agro-system of the Southern Federal District

The direction of research interest of economic scientists in the leading issues of the search for agricultural development options is directly dependent on the uncertainty of the external and internal economic and political situation in the regions of the country and the world, which has a significant impact on the level of domestic food security and social stability. The search and identification of the main driving structural elements for ensuring the sustainable development of agricultural production and improving rural infrastructure and rural life is: rational management of the agro-industrial complex development strategy; consideration of the influence of external and internal factors; analysis and identification of promising areas for modernization of the agro-industrial complex; development of counter-sanctions measures and the effectiveness of their practical application. The leading structural element of ensuring the sustainable development of the agricultural sector is the development and application of theoretical and methodological aspects of the sustainable development of the existing socio-economic agro-system in the regions of the country, which can be applied directly in the Southern Federal District, then, with positive results, to propose this system for use in other districts of the country. The developed rational management mechanism of the agro-system becomes a strategic resource for the sustainable development of agribusiness in the regions. The article examines the economic essence of theoretical definitions of terms reflecting the level of sustainable development of territories, such as: sustainability, sustainable development, their relationship to the concepts of sustainable growth, economic development and security, as well as the differentiation of these terms. The search for relevant methods of introducing refined indicators of the economic essence and interrelation of the categories - sustainable development and sustainable development management, their place in the current mechanism of sustainable development, in the development of a conceptual approach to improving the effectiveness of territorial development management. The application of accurate economic interpretations will contribute to the development of effective development strategies necessary for the high-quality operation of modern agribusiness and its sustainable growth. The paper analyzes and summarizes the concept of sustainable development of the socio-economic agro-system. The formed definition will contribute to the development of types or types of levels of rural sustainability, with the designation of significant indicators and their characteristics, which makes it possible to identify a set of effective tools and methods for the socio-economic development of the agro-industrial complex of the Southern Federal District.
