Demonstrates a ritual and calendrical interpretation of the Phaistos Disc, indicating its cultural significance.
This paper presents the application of the ABAD Framework to the Phaistos Disc, a unique 241-glyph pictographic spiral text from Minoan Crete (c. 1700 BCE). Using layered structural analysis, spiral golden-ratio modulation, and strong visual/pictographic anchoring, a coherent ritual and calendrical reading has been produced. The decryption interprets the disc as encoding themes of creation, protection, leadership, abundance, and the eternal cycle of renewal. Side A emphasizes invocation and life renewal, while Side B emphasizes guardianship and completion. The spiral form reinforces themes of eternal return. The method follows the published ABAD rules with clear visual anchoring. The reading is reproducible and culturally consistent with Minoan religious and calendrical practices.
