Media critical analysis explores AI-driven disinformation strategies in YouTube content creators, indicating serious implications for consumer awareness.
[ENGLISH ABSTRACT]This 47-page media critical study analyzes the systematic exploitation of streaming algorithms by creators utilizing generative artificial intelligence (AI) to manufacture targeted disinformation for financial gain. Using the YouTube channel "Incontri Animali" as a primary case study, this paper exposes how bad actors manipulate platform infrastructures. It highlights the four central pillars of automated content farming: AI-generated scripts, synthetic text-to-speech narration, automated video editing, and algorithmically engineered clickbait. Special focus is placed on commercial padding strategies (maintaining runtimes around 30 minutes to maximize mid-roll ads) and the fabrication of human tragedies to monetize the audience's morbid curiosity. Furthermore, the paper examines the digital divide among recipients, mapping out why older cohorts and children struggle to detect this synthetic "slop," while younger generations possess enhanced algorithmic literacy.
