Randomized trial analyzes strength improvements in gray cast iron via pearlite content adjustments, suggesting enhanced performance benefits.
In this study, the structural changes, phase composition, and hardness properties of gray cast iron samples containing different amounts of alloying elements were analyzed. The results showed that an increase in copper content leads to the growth of the pearlite phase, which in turn improves the strength and wear resistance of the alloy. In addition, it was observed that increasing the cooling rate results in a finer microstructure, contributing to higher hardness. The findings of the study make it possible to improve the performance properties of gray cast iron and to determine optimal chemical compositions and technological regimes for producing high-quality and competitive cast components.
