Improving the effectiveness of rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (RSwNP) treatment is currently associated with application of biological therapy aimed at affecting certain molecular targets responsible for development and maintenance of inflammation. Thymic stromal lymphopoietin (TSLP) is one of such potential targets. Blocking of TSLP may be more effective in fight against respiratory tract inflammation than existing biological drugs. This is due to the fact that TSLP is at the outset of inflammatory response mediating a wide range of subsequent processes that include the development of both eosinophilic and neutrophilic inflammation, as well as structural changes in the respiratory tract. The article presents the overview of results of tezepelumab clinical use in RSwNP, in presence of which a significant decrease in polyps’ size and nasal stuffiness, improvement of the olfaction and life quality, as well as a significant reduction in the necessity of surgical treatment and systemic glucocorticoids have been shown.
