Abstract

A new species of Scoliidae, Lissocampsomeris bribri sp. nov . (Scoliinae, Campsomerini), is described from a single female found in Panama. We propose a taxonomic key to the females of Lissocampsomeris , including the new species. Additionally, images of Lissocampsomeris columba (Saussure, 1858) and Lissocampsomeris wesmaeli (Lepeletier, 1845) are provided for the first time. This finding increases the list of known Scoliidae in America to 72 species.
