Examines factors affecting bike-sharing behavior in Beijing, suggesting insights for operators and policymakers.
This study examines the factors influencing bicycle-sharing travel behavior using structural equation modeling (SEM), with a particular focus on user satisfaction. The model includes four latent variables – behavioral attitude, subjective norm, perceived behavioral control, and shared bicycle satisfaction – each measured by three observed variables. For shared bicycle satisfaction, the observed indicators are safety, convenience, and economy. Based on survey data collected in Beijing, China, the model is estimated, tested, and refined using Analysis of Moment Structures (AMOS) software. The findings highlight the multidimensional factors that shape residents’ decisions to use shared bicycles, offering practical insights for operators and policymakers.
