Women’s entrepreneurship in Islamic contexts A summary of existing scholarship and proposed directions for future research on women's entrepreneurship in Islamic contexts. In a prior Open Access Government article, Professor Jennifer Jennings from the University of Alberta shared findings from one of her PhD student's study of women entrepreneurs in the violent conflict zone of Libya. Here, she shares insights from the literature review that another of her doctoral students, Samira Jafari, conducted on scholarship at the intersection of gender, Islam, and entrepreneurship. The full version of Jafari's paper was recently accepted for publication in Entrepreneurship & Regional Development.
