This paper presents conceptualizations of leisure since the start of Leisure/Loisir in 1976. The paper cautions against leisure as persistent apathy to survive challenging existences. Instead, we might consider insubordination, a revision of interdependence, and a quilting of political perspectives to reclaim the conviviality that leisure inspires.
