Marcher books from abroad Dr Matt Lampitt from the University of Bristol explores the books that travelled to the medieval Marches of Wales from Oxford, France, and beyond. One of the aims of the Mapping the March project is to document the literary culture of the Marches of Wales in the period 1282–1550. To do this, the research team is creating a relational database of manuscripts, texts, people, and places that will enable users of the web interface to visualise the connections between entities as network diagrams and on geospatial maps.
