Academic libraries serve as essential support systems for teaching, learning, and research in higher education institutions. The present study examined the utilisation of library services and resources, frequency of use, and levels of user satisfaction at the ForestCollege and Research Institute, Mettupalayam, Tamil Nadu. The study was conducted during 2023-2025 using a structured questionnaire survey administered to 60 students from undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Data were analysed using percentage analysis to identify patterns of library usage and user perceptions. The findings revealed that male respondents constituted 63.30 %, while female respondents accounted for 36.70% of the sample. Undergraduate students formed a major share of respondents (85.00 %), followed by postgraduates (15.00 %). In terms of visit frequency, 38.00 % of students visited the library weekly and 23.50 % daily, indicating regular engagement with library facilities. Academic purposes dominated library use, with 75.50 % of respondents using the library primarily for study and educational activities. Utilisation of library services was highest for curriculum development and research, where 38.00 %–40.00 % of respondents reported using resources very often. Satisfaction levels were generally high, with more than 50.00 % of respondents expressing satisfaction with lending services, professional literature, electronic resources, and internet facilities. However, moderate levels of indifference (10.00% - 19.00%) were observed for multimedia and audio-visual resources. Overall, the results indicate that the library plays a significant role in supporting academic activities, while also highlighting the need for continuous enhancement of digital resources and user-oriented services.
