Each six years, the surge of new information has fully justified a new edition of this book. It continues to provide the advances of fundamental biology in a framework that applies them to liver structure, function, and disease for both clinicians and bench scientists. The current edition has 10 totally new chapters, and more than 60% of the remaining material has been almost totally rewritten.
