A blue-light excited red-emitting Mn ²⁺ -based hybrid halide (CH ₆ N ₃ ) ₂ MnCl ₄ with a high PLQY of 55.9% was obtained. Using the halide, a high performance warm WLED was fabricated, indicating its potential as a red-emitting component for WLED applications.
