Systematic review and meta-analysis assess AI and imaging methods for poultry eggs and embryos, suggesting robust evaluation techniques.
This project hosts the supporting materials and extracted dataset for a systematic review and meta-analysis of artificial intelligence (AI) and imaging methods for non-invasive assessment of poultry eggs and embryos (fertility detection, in-ovo sexing and embryonic development/viability). Conducted following PRISMA 2020, 56 studies were included in the quantitative synthesis and 37 in the accuracy meta-analysis (DerSimonian-Laird random-effects, logit scale). Heterogeneity (I2/tau2), publication bias (Egger), risk of bias (PROBAST) and certainty of evidence (GRADE) were assessed. Materials include the study-level data extraction table, the list of included studies, and the Python analysis code. Single author: M. K. Erhan.
