This dataset contains the full set of tables, figures, and supplementary materials supporting the research article "From Urban Signals to Durable Urban Form: The Institutional Role of Waqf in Ottoman Algiers (1580–1830)". The dataset includes: · All tables derived from the 1837 waqf census (Raymond, 2001), including the spatial distribution of 650 endowments across 17 ḥūmāt, social composition of founders (53% civilian, 34% military, 36% women), and the evolution of exchange and lease transactions (1648–1830). · Morphological analysis of the Plan Filhon (1831), including the regular grid patterns of the Qaysariyya–Badistan area and the hotel quarter (al-Dīwān–Ketchaoua). · Reconstructed figures and diagrams illustrating the Conversion Mechanism model, the polycentric governance network, and the urban analytical patterns (foundation, accumulation, saturation, welfare). · Archival data extracted from Hoexter (1997), Chergui (2009), and Shuval (2002), used for the analysis of institutional persistence, maintenance records, and functional integration. The data are provided in tabular and image formats to support replication, comparative analysis, and further research on historical urban institutions. All data are derived from published archival sources and are made available for non-commercial academic use.
