Randomized trial models identity coherence across multiple scales, suggesting insights into digital identity frameworks.
The Carlo Identity–Cosmology Engine is a deterministic, self‑contained, browser‑based simulation framework for modelling identity, coherence, narrative and pressure across nine scales: person, place, region, nation, planet, cosmos, universe, multiverse and omniverse. It formalises identity as a channel‑based vector whose composition shifts with scale — Land, Weather, People and Story at personal and national layers; Geosphere through Chronosphere at the planetary layer; and Matter, Energy, Life, Myth, Time, Resonance, Pressure and Void at cosmic layers. Coherence is computed using a weakest‑link operator, modified by positive and negative inputs, and classified as fragile, strained, resonant or strong. Nodes evolve through declared feedback couplings, are drawn toward authored baselines by an identity‑inertia term, aggregate upward through weighted roll‑up with explicit cross‑layer channel mapping, and are unified at each layer by a mythic binder that computes archetype resonance, mythic amplification and coherence stabilisation. A boundary runtime implements the creation–collapse–renewal cycle across eight primordial, six collapse and eight renewal fields. The engine includes a scenario system with ten shock types, scheduled on a tick timeline against nodes, layers or the entire model. A permanence parameter determines whether a shock is absorbed or rewrites the node’s authored identity. A counterfactual control runs a parallel event‑free copy of the system, required because the minimum‑based coherence operator hides damage to non‑floor channels in the headline measure. The model is seeded with Welsh place, regional and national identities and is rooted in a personal identity layer at Holyhead, Anglesey, from which the architecture was derived. The engine runs in any modern browser with no installation, dependencies or network access. The accompanying technical manual documents the conceptual model, exact formulas for all five operators, all four coupling tables, the boundary engines, the scenario reference, a full parameter reference, JSON and CSV schemas, extension instructions, six behaviours that resemble faults but arise naturally from the weakest‑link operator, and a verification record covering engine correctness, numerical stability, structural edge cases, input hardening, determinism and randomised interaction fuzzing. Together, the engine and manual form a complete, verifiable and extensible computational physics of identity.
