This paper surveys the history and development of Hittite lexicography, from early glossaries to major dictionaries and digital resources. It examines key projects, their publication history, coverage, and digitisation, and discusses future directions for research on Hittite and other Anatolian languages. The paper was prepared primarily for educational purposes and for the Academia Salensis 2026 workshop, where it accompanies the presentation of the thesis A Pilot Corpus-Based Analysis of Emotional Vocabulary and Experiencer Constructions in Hittite.
