Demonstrates high-yield C–N couplings in a simple, sustainable process, suggesting efficiency in chemical reactions.
Herein, a practical and efficient Pd/Cu‐catalyzed Buchwald–Hartwig amination under infrared irradiation is reported. The reaction proceeds under quasi‐solvent‐free, nonanhydrous conditions and without the need for an inert atmosphere, using only a stoichiometric amount of the green solvent cyclopentyl methyl ether (CPME) as the reaction medium. The cooperative Pd/Cu catalytic system, combined with near‐infrared irradiation centered at 1.2 μm, enables high‐yield C–N couplings of aryl iodides and bromides with a variety of secondary amines with a reduced palladium loading (1.5 mol%) and in short reaction times (1–3 h). Overall, this protocol provides a rapid, sustainable, and broadly applicable route to aryl amines, affording good to excellent yields (68%–99%) under operationally simple conditions.
