Demonstrates improved accuracy of ultrasonic measurements in materials, indicating the importance of temperature correction.
In order to address the issue that the propagation of ultrasonic waves in materials is affected by temperature, and to improve the measurement error of metal loss caused by the variation of ultrasonic wave velocity due to the effect of temperature field, it is necessary to establish a definite relationship between ultrasonic wave velocity and temperature, thereby developing a more accurate ultrasonic wave velocity compensation method for measurement. Firstly, through theoretical and simulation analysis, the corresponding relationship between ultrasonic wave velocity and temperature was established, and the propagation modes of piezoelectric ultrasonic waves in different pipe fittings at different temperatures were modelled. A temperature field distribution model along the ultrasonic wave propagation direction in pressure-bearing pipe fittings was established, and a full-path ultrasonic wave velocity compensation method was proposed. Combined with experimental research, this method improved the accuracy of piezoelectric ultrasonic measurement under the influence of the temperature field.
