Interpretation outlines management guidelines for enhancing traditional Chinese medicine health preservation services, suggesting improvements in service quality.
With the shift in public health focus from disease treatment-centered to health promotion-centered approaches, there has been an increasing demand for traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) health preservation services. However, the current market for TCM health preservation services is chaotic, with inconsistent service levels, varying staff competencies, and poorly regulated service processes and management. To address these issues, the Standard for the Management of Traditional Chinese Medicine Health Preservation Services is developed to guide service institutions in delivering TCM health preservation services and to provide management guidelines for relevant organizations and personnel. This standard aims to align TCM health preservation services with the Healthy China Initiative. This study offers a detailed interpretation of the development process and specific contents of this standard, using selected case studies, with the goal of assisting readers in applying the standard to the management and research of TCM health preservation services to enhance the research quality and the acceptance of evidence.
