Amorphous hierarchical NiCo 2 O 4 –CoNiO 2 hybrids have been successfully fabricated via a facile one-pot hydrothermal route, followed by morphologic conversion into urchin-like structured NiCo 2 O 4 –CoNiO 2 nanorods and irregular-shaped hierarchical NiCo 2 O 4 –CoNiO 2 polyhedral nanocrystals through air-annealing treatment at 450 °C and 650 °C, respectively.
