The main objective of this study is to provide a comprehensive understanding of factors that directly influence the continuance usage of digital financial services, such as Financial Technology (FinTech), by integrating well-known theory and models. To achieve the main objective, a quantitative research approach with an online survey was employed to collect data from actual users of FinTech services in Jordan. The collected data were analyzed by Partial Least Squares – Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results mainly confirm that the continuance usage of FinTech is significantly and positively influenced by perceived usefulness, satisfaction, trust and protection motivation. The results also confirm that protection motivation is significantly and positively influenced by risk and the fear of COVID-19. Next, contrary to what is expected, the empirical results confirm that ease of use and confirmation do not affect the continuance usage of FinTech services, and hence the related hypotheses were rejected.
